Whole Lotta Rosie

On Imdb Wednesday:

Photobucket

Ok, let's reread this part.
The A League of Their Own star has revealed she stopped drinking on 1 December after her teenage son, Parker, refused to get her a beer from the refrigerator.

Now, I tend to see fat jokes where there aren't any sometimes (when you're looking for them, they're everywhere), but this...I mean, I thought this was obvious.

Does that line not imply that Rosie is sitting on her couch; asks her son to get her a beer; her son refuses; and Rosie says "Well, I'm not getting up. I'll quit."

Apparently not. No one I asked came to that conclusion. So, the question is, why did I see it?

In the first show I had on Channel 101 NY, DiSilvio, me and co-creator Mike Frollo knew where all the jokes were*. But, when the show screened, most of the audience was confused. Somehow, somewhere, there was a jump in logic that me and Mike didn't foresee.

So, what does this have to do with Rosie? Well, I'm starting to think I constantly do this.

*Where were they? In the second draft.
